Welcome to Pack 179's web site.

Pack 179 is located in Ingleside, IL.  Our Charter Organization is Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.  We are in the Northstar District of the Northeast Illinois Council, Boy Scouts pf America.  Our Pack was first chartered on April 1, 1952.

Our Dens meet on most Thursday nights, during the school year.  Most of our meetings are held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, located on Rt. 134 between Wilson Rd and Fairfield Rd in Ingleside, IL, at 7 PM.  Our Pack meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, with some exceptions, also at Trinity.

WE HAVE AN "EXPERIENCED UNIFORM CLOSET". PLEASE DONATE

We have a bin that we make available from time to time.  It contains used uniforms.  These items are all for sale for $1 a piece.  We ask that if you have used uniforms that have been outgrown or maybe you found them at a garage sale or rummage sale.  Usually they can be purchased cheap.  If you can't use them, please consider donating them to the "Closet".

POSITIONS AVAILABLE !!!
We are still looking to fill a few positions in the Pack leadership.  We are in need of a Pack Recruiter, a secretary, a Publicity Chairperson and a Quartermaster.  Speak to John or Jennie if you are interested in any of these positions.

Scouting is for parents, too!
Active, committed Leaders and parents are the heart and soul of a successful Pack. You don't need to have any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life. Volunteer to help; you'll be glad you did!

C.O.O.L. CORNER

Trinity Lutheran, our charter organization, is home to the COOL Food Pantry West.  They provide food and necessary items for those "in need", in our area.  Our Pack has become a constant contributor to the COOL Food Pantry.  We ask that all of our boys bring at least 1 item, to donate, to each meeting or event.  C.O.O.L. also takes dog and cat food.

They will take donations of fresh grown items from your gardens.  Along with non-perishables.  Any non-perishables are needed now.  Gift cards to local grocery stores are always welcome, too.
